Are the artworks originals or reproductions?
Each piece for sale is an original and unique, handmade work — no prints or reproductions are sold. Each artwork includes its certificate of authenticity.
What technique does Andrés Mexia use?
Ink and acrylic on paper. The work combines figuration and abstraction — abstract portraits and pareidolic forms.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most countries. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are automatically calculated at checkout based on your destination. Each piece is specially packaged to protect the paper and is shipped insured, with a tracking number so you can follow its journey. For reference: domestic shipments usually take between 5 and 10 business days, and international shipments between 10 and 20 business days, depending on each country's customs.
How do I know the artwork I buy is authentic?
Each work comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, confirming that it is an original and unique piece by Andrés Mexia.
Can I ask about a piece before buying it?
Yes — on each artwork's page there is a "Inquire about this artwork" button that opens a direct form. You can also write to andyseop@gmail.com.
What is your return policy?
You have 14 calendar days from the date you receive your artwork to request a return, provided the piece is returned in the same condition it was sent, with its original packaging. Write to us at andyseop@gmail.com within that period to initiate the process. The return shipping cost is borne by the buyer, unless the artwork arrived damaged or does not match what was purchased — in which case we will cover it. The refund is processed once we receive the artwork back in good condition.
Do you accept commissions or custom pieces?
Yes, custom orders are accepted. Write to us at andyseop@gmail.com telling us your idea — size, theme, and date you need it by — and we will respond with availability, estimated creation time, and cost. To reserve the order, a 50% deposit is required; the remainder is paid upon delivery.
How should I care for and display a work on paper?
It is recommended to frame under UV-protective glass and avoid direct sunlight or humidity to preserve the paper and pigments long-term.

Is giving an original piece of art as a gift a good idea?
Yes — an original work of art is unique by definition: there is no other piece like it, it comes with a certificate of authenticity in the recipient's name, and it is a gift that lasts a lifetime instead of being consumed. Many clients purchase Andrés Mexia's works as birthday or anniversary gifts, or for a new space.
Is original art very expensive?
Not necessarily. Andrés Mexia's works are accessible: prices start at $50 USD, well below what most people assume an original, signed piece costs. Being an emerging artist means entry-level prices, not established artist prices—it's the best time to start collecting his work.
In what artistic current or movement is Andrés Mexia's work situated?
His work is rooted in the tradition of art brut or "outsider art"—self-taught artists who create from introspection, without academic training—and dialogues with surrealism through its exploration of pareidolia (forms that emerge from perception). He does not follow a formal school or an established contemporary movement; it is abstract figuration built from personal experience.
